(January 10, 2019) We’ve been following drummer, songwriter and all around good guy Drew Schultz since he was a teenage kid who came to Detroit with a dream of honoring soul music greats and doing good for the community. And it has been fun watching him ever since.

Drew first caught our attention as the touring drummer for the Four Tops. He’s gone on to work with countless classic soul acts, from Gladys Knight to The Dramatics to The Temptations and many more. He released the album Back To Class a few years ago – featuring a number of soul music greats - and donated half of the profits to the Detroit Public School music programs.

Drew will be returning this Spring with a new live album that combines soul, jazz and funk. Drew Schultz & The Broken Habits - Live at 20 Front Street will be released on all digital platforms in conjunction with a release show in March. Recorded on stage in 2018, the album celebrates many of Drew’s heroes, and is a combination of songs Drew wrote for his “Back To Class” series as well as live renditions of the classic hits by the legends with whom Drew has worked. Interspersed within the music are stories told about his career and some of the lessons learned from his idols and mentors. The concert was recorded in front of a sold out crowd at 20 Front Street in Lake Orion, MI.
