(July _, 2022) Evan Silva has been a fixture on the Aussie music scene for a very long time. For a half century he has been pleasing fans with his brand of soulful popular music, and that recording career comes to a glorious coda with his new -- and final -- album, the semi-autobiographical Reihana St.

Recorded live with around 25 musician friends from New York, New Zealand and Australia, Reihana St. is a 14 song collection that is named after the street where Silva was born and raised, but became an international collaboration through relationships formed online during the COVID lockdown.

One of the songs on the new album is the nostalgic "It Ain't Over," a musical tribute to many of Silva's musical influences, from Ella Fitzgerald to Sam Cooke to Smokey. It's a mellow, thoughtful number about a fan who can still hear the echoes of those greats running through his head years after they changed his musical experience as a child.

"It Ain't Over" is a loving and enjoyable look back at the artists and music that shaped a young Evan Silva in the mid-20th century, and presents an appropriate goodbye as a recording artist for this talented singer. Check it out.
