However, that’s about to change with his new single, featuring longtime ST fave, singer, songwriter and producer Angela Johnson.
“Castle in the Sky” combines a soulful vibe with a Philly dance backbeat, giving us a song that has a classic feel but an up to date sound. And Angela’s vocals up front are just terrific.

However, that’s about to change with his new single, featuring longtime ST fave, singer, songwriter and producer Angela Johnson.
“Castle in the Sky” combines a soulful vibe with a Philly dance backbeat, giving us a song that has a classic feel but an up to date sound. And Angela’s vocals up front are just terrific.
Ian tells us: "Angela Johnson has been a pillar, a singular voice in this independent music movement for some time now. She quite simply has been one of the artists that I have longed to work with. I was fortunate to remix one of her songs and even more fortunate to have her write a song to some music I produced. I produce Global Soul music, which incorporates and approximates rhythms and musical styles from around the world and fuses it with Soul music. I am a first generation American with Caribbean parents. This forced me to span and bridge different worlds cultivating within me a cultural fusion. I bring this perspective to the art that I create. I've always loved Angela's sound and style because of it global appeal and worldly influences. It is a check off of my creative bucketlist."
