When two of our favorites get together, we're happy. When they do it for a good cause, we get even more excited. Incognito is a former SoulTracks Readers' Choice Award winner and Kelli Sae is a new favorite who we featured during 2011. Together they have released a charity single called “Brighter Than The Sun” to raise money for Hurricane Sandy and Typhoon Bopha rebuilding efforts…ALL proceeds will be donated to UNICEF and REBUILDING TOGETHER’s disaster relief funds.

    Here's the full story:

NEW YORK, Feb. 19, 2013 -- Today world renowned acid-jazz band Incognito & powerhouse vocalist Kelli Sae reunite, and together with Natalie Williams , Vanessa Haynes and Tony Momrelle launch disaster relief song "Brighter Than The Sun" (Shanachie Entertainment) to support long-term disaster restoration efforts for victims of Hurricane Sandy and Typhoon Bopha.  One hundred percent of net proceeds benefit disaster relief initiatives of Rebuilding Together and UNICEF UK, equally. The song is available today on all major U.S. music digital outlets for $1.29 per download, and onMarch 3rd in the UK (Expansion Records) for .79€ per download.

Similar to "We Are The World," which sold over 20MM copies globally to support African famine relief, "Brighter" was created to inspire global citizens to contribute to the rebuild efforts of the east coast and the Philippines.  Hurricane Sandy affected the homes of over 200K families and Typhoon Bopha left 1.2MM families displaced.

Kelli Sae , independent artist and featured Incognito & Count Basic vocalist, initiated this effort and collaborated with Incognito Founder, Jean-Paul 'Bluey' Maunick.

"When I heard news that Sandy was coming, like many others I didn't expect such devastating disaster.  Lives were lost. Families were completely destroyed. Businesses crumbled. Neighborhoods were destructed and need to be rebuilt.  I felt completely helpless.  So, I decided to use my voice and made a call to my amazing friend Bluey and 'Brighter Than The Sun' was born," Sae says.

Incognito has long used its music to heal the world. Incognito appeared on TIME Magazine's "Album of the Year," Stolen Moments: Red Hot + Cool in 1994, benefitting the AIDS epidemic, and again contributed "Water To Drink" Red Hot + Rio, an AIDS-benefit album, in 1996.

Maunick adds, "We have benefitted from the support of so many people from the shores of New Jersey, New York City, and have felt the love of the Filipino people over the years.  This is the least we could do. To quote Mother Teresa, 'We can do no great things, only small things with great love.'"
