First Listen: Jamison is digging her "Sweetness"

    (July 25, 2017) There is a temptation to deal with the high level of noise emanating from pop culture by raising your noise level. Sometimes an artist might figure that the best way to do commerce in a culture that displays an increasing level of coarseness is to become even more coarse. It’s like they flip Michelle Obama’s when they go low we go high advice on its head.

    Singer/songwriter Jamison Drew seeks to break through the cacophony by being sweet, intimate and maybe a little bit old fashioned on his soul throwback “Sweetness.” He comes at us with a buttery vocal, Memphis styled guitar licks and church influenced organs in a song where he celebrates the sugar coated charm of his heart’s desire.
