(October 11, 2016) “Just Jane” is the tribute that the world needs in 2016 because it honors the qualities in a woman that everybody says are important but always seem to get overlooked. The vocal version originally dropped in 2003, and the lyrics tell the story of a man who found true love because he saw the extraordinary in the seemingly ordinary.

Flautist Jef Kearns and vocalist Carlos Morgan collaborated on a largely instrumental version that finds Kearns using his flute to reprise the vocals while Morgan adds his powerful vocal to the song’s hook. At a time when it seems that so much focus goes to the exterior, a track that extols the staying power of character is timely indeed. Check it out.
