(July 28, 2020) We love it when a plan works out. The idea of two SoulTracks favorites, singer/trumpeter Johnny Britt and Indie Soul King Eric Roberson, getting together on a new song was intriguing, and the result is everything we hoped it would be.

SoulTrackers have been following Johnny Britt since the days when he was one-half of the creative duo Impromp2, and they’ve stayed with him through several top tier solo albums. And, of course, Erro is one of the most popular artists in the history of SoulTracks, and a multiple SoulTracks Readers' Choice Award winner.

“Keep Workin’ It Out” is a tasty midtempo with a groove that grabs from the get-go, punctuated by horn interludes and the alternating vocals of the two singers. The song, which is a preview from Johnny’s upcoming August 14 release, Mo Jazzin’, is a near perfect summer jam that we think SoulTrackers will just love. And it has a great message about perseverance.

Johnny tells us, "I’ll be married to my wife, Arlene for 34 years in August. I wrote this song because we Keep Workin It Out, period. It was so great working with Eric on this song. While the Pandemic kept us from being in the same room - we definitely caught each other's vibe even though it was our first time making music together! We both can relate to the lyrics having wives who have to contend with the challenge of having husbands in the music industry."

We’re proud to present the World Premiere of this fantastic. Check out “Keep Workin’ It Out,” and welcome the collaboration of two modern greats.
