(September 6, 2019) Wow, here's a combination that is as enticing as it is unexpected. For his new album Game Changer II, Johnny Gill has brought in some heavyweight stars for collaboration. And on his latest single, "Fiesta," he has connected with two all-timers.
Sheila E provides the percussion for the Latin-influenced number, and then there is the unmistakable guitar work of the legendary Carlos Santana. The song is an unusual -- maybe even first of its kind -- departure for Gill, who stretches well beyond his typical Urban Adult Contemporary comfort zone and reaches for a decidedly South of the Border sound -- and it absolutely works.
"Fiesta" is about a man who falls in love with a woman of another culture, but with their attraction overcoming language barriers.
This is a fun end of summer song from three stars who clearly are having fun working together. Check it out below
