First Listen: Joy Conaway gets us "Alone"

(April 15, 2017) Last year we introduced SoulTrackers to ATL-based singer and songwriter Joy Conaway. The talented performer came to our attention with the very nice acoustic song, “Monsters,” and Joy’s debut EP, A Tale of Joy and Sorrow.

Joy is now back with another collaboration with the production team The Gigabots (Douglas Whatley & Prem Midha), and the sound is noticeably hotter. “Alone” has a contemporary R&B feel, with infectious beats and a hook that is staying in my head.

It’s always a treat to find a new artist who delivers a couple gems in a row, and “Alone” is an excellent counterpoint to “Monsters.” Joy tells us about the song, "With this song, I wanted to not only grab the listeners attention, I wanted to make them feel something."
