First Listen: Lady Bain finds that "Pure Love"

(August 6, 2019) There are a lot of music types that simply stand the test of time, and one of them is the emotive, soulful ballad. And that is the territory that Detroit native Cassandra Bain, aka Lady Bain, covers in her brand new single, “Pure Love.”

Cassandra aims for a classic sound with her music, with her influences being such legends as  Nat King Cole, Nancy Wilson, Sam Cooke, Patti LaBelle, and fellow Detroiters The Clark Sisters. And all that history flows into the vibe of “Pure Love.”

Cassandra tells us about the song, “I was at a time in my life where I had given up on the idea of ever finding love again and I was okay with it. I met a man with whom I had no intentions of getting serious. The next thing I knew, he was constantly on my mind because of the genuine love and attention he was showing me. I was actually mad that I fell for him; he became my drug.”
