(June 21, 2021) It can be said that LaTasha Lee has an old soul. Or maybe she is an artist who just likes that raw, analog sound and creativity that comes when a group of musicians gather in a studio and chop it up. Perhaps it’s both. Anyway, Lee has become an internet sensation with her original songs that capture the sound and heart of 1960s and 70s soul. Those videos showcase a singer who packs a powerful voice as well as an artist who carries herself with a combination of grace, sensuality and strength.

Anyway, Lee has become an internet sensation with her original songs that capture the sound and heart of 1960s and 70s soul. Those videos showcase a singer who packs a powerful voice as well as an artist who carries herself with a combination of grace, sensuality and strength.

Those qualities and her skill as a peerless musical storyteller come through on “Got This Feeling,” her latest release and video. “Got This Feeling” is a fusion of blues and funk in which Lee describes a woman whose intuition tells her something is amiss in her home. Her man is giving her the telltale signals that he is stepping out. However, in trademark Lee start, the track begins with recognition, moves to realization and ends with the lady deciding to take action. The video is also trademark Lee. A small town woman at heart, she’s through her empty home, sitting on the party or a couch, a visual demonstration of the words conveyed in the song. Check out “Got This Feeling” here.
