(August 20, 2020) SoulTrackers probably don’t know the name Leron Thomas, but they’ve likely heard him during his work as a sideman for Bilal, particularly on the album 1st Born Second.

The Houston-based singer and multi-instrumentalist has his own brand of jazz and what he calls “left-of-center” R&B. And that unusual but fun sound comes through on his latest single, “Corporate.” With elements sounding like they were plucked from a CTI album of 70s – or even a jazz club in the 50s – it is an ultra-cool soulful jazz number highlighted by his understated vocals.

There isn’t much on the radio that you’re going to hear that sound like “Corporate.” Check it out below and tell us what you think.
