(September 5, 2018) Jazzheads have known acclaimed singer and songwriter Lori Williams for awhile, but her name may not be familiar to many soul music fans. Well, that should change with her new album, Out of The Box, an extremely accessible collection that directly speaks to adult soul audiences.

Lori is leading off the new album by highlighting a collaboration with noted pianist Bob Baldwin on the quiet storm gem, “I Like The Way You Talk (To Me).” With a soft beat fading in, the song soon enters a light groove, with Baldwin’s piano giving way to Lori’s sensuous vocals, telling a story about her love of the kind of romantic talk her lover brings to her.

This is music that will work great on a late night, or even a romantic, rainy afternoon with someone special. “I Like The Way You Talk (To Me)” is our newest SoulTracks First Listen. Check it out below and welcome Lori Williams to SoulTracks.
