In September, Meecah debuted her first EP, New Moon Rising, demonstrating both her powerful voice and her chops as a songwriter. And one listen to her single, “Higher,” and you’ll see that she has put a very personal tough on a societal issue. She tells us, “I wrote this song to heal myself and attempt to move on from what happened. When it was released, it became an anthem for domestic violence survivors because it spoke to their trauma. Having a single that brings awareness to abuse in addition to women having the right to say no and be heard – I’m glad to have that.”

Take a listen to “Higher,” and welcome Meecah to SoulTracks.
