World Premiere: MF Robots recall infectious 90s groove with "The Good Thing"

(March 15, 2017) We've been fans of the pioneering acid jazz and dance band The Brand New Heavies forever. And so when we heard the former BNH members Jan Kincaid and Dawn Joseph were teaming for a new project, we sat up and took notice. And that's how we made the happy discovery of  MF Robots (Music For Robots), the duo's new group

MF Robots was formed in 2016 by Kincaid and Joseph. Kincaid was a founding member of BNH and Joseph joined joined later as a featured vocalist. The idea of MF Robots was to revamp and renew the classic production values and songwriting standards of the 90s acid jazz scene, while touching on funk, jazz, soul and pop. Kincaid says of the group's philosophy, “We live in a very impermanent and volatile world in 2017 and we want to provide a little escapism for the soul with exciting, energy and music that is both current and able to stand the test of time.”

MF Robots' second single, "Come On With The Good Thing" will be released on April 14, and we think SoulTrackers are gonna completely dig it. A sly mix of funk and jazz, it instantly got us moving and has been on repeat ever since. So we're proud to present the World Premiere of this great new song. Check it out below and be among the first to welcome MF Robots!
