(February 13, 2021) The musical whirling dervish that is Mark de Clive-Lowe is tough to capture. Mashing up keyboards and beats with samples is just the beginning of the immensely creative process that has gone into his music over the years, making him one of the most sought after collaborators for artists who are looking for something a little different and special in their music.

The L.A.-based artist, producer, arranger and remixer has worked with a Who’s Who of artists, and during the pandemic year has continued to put forward new music, most recently remixing a song by hot London-based saxophonist Nubya Garcia.

“The Message Continues” opens with a gentle electronic keyboard before developing into a memerizing trot, filled with Garcia’s looping sax hook, a steady beat, and ever expanding orchestration. Like the first moments of Spring opening into Summer, “Message” builds and builds until peaking at a trippy, jazzy peak that lasts through its glorious final three minutes.

Mark tells us, "Nubya is a shining light of the UK jazz scene and her album is a modern day acoustic jazz classic. When I was asked to remix a track, I wanted to reimagine it for the dancefloor but, in honoring the artist, have as much musical integrity as possible. Inspired by a little bit of Stevie Wonder-ish harmony and the uplifting vibe of soulful house, I remixed 'The Message Continues’ into a dancefloor gem, letting Nubya’s melody build and build until it releases into her soaring sax solo. I loved reworking this one!"
