(May 2, 2020) We went nearly a decade without hearing new music from talented singer O’Bryan. But the man who topped the charts in the 80s with such songs as “Gigolo,” “Tenderoni” and a wonderful version of Stevie Wonder’s “You and I” has gotten more active over the past few years, and it has been a welcome return.

Like the rest of us, O’Bryan has been home for the past several weeks, and it inspired him to write a new song about how relationships are affected by what he calls “a lockdown.” The result of his musings is the new midtempo number, “Sometimes.”

The song has a cool 90s groove to it, and the man has certainly not lost a step when it comes to his vocals, which sound great here. The song will be available at online stores on May 7.

Check out “Sometimes” and welcome O’Bryan back to SoulTracks!
