(July 3, 2020) He’s one of the top songwriters and producers in the world of Gospel music, he’s a member of iconic band Maroon 5, and he is one of the most awarded artists in the history of the SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Awards. Of course, we’re talking about PJ Morton, soul music’s Renaissance Man, who continues to surprise us with new music and new musical directions.

Today PJ has released "I Can't Wait," which he wrote this Spring at home, reflecting on those people who are missing someone due to this quarantine existence, and reminding us all that those times together were something special.

Starting with a simple piano opening, the song expands into a beautiful ballad with more than a hint of 70s Stevie Wonder mixed in. It is touching late night, reflective music that will hit home for quite a few of us.

Check out “I Can’t Wait” below, and tell us what you think.
