(July 27, 2020) We started following the career of Dallas-based singer and songwriter Reggie Boone a few years ago, with good reason. His mellifluous vocal stylings will remind SoulTrackers of many of the all-time great soul singers, especially the Philly stars that shone in the 70s. Reggie has been performing his whole life, and his ability to translate life circumstances into a musical style has made him a vocalist for the ages. He was first discovered by Steve Harvey, and he has spent his career performing in front of audiences around the U.S. and U.K. working with Mr. Harvey and others.

Reggie has a new album coming soon called In A Perfect World, and it is a combination of original material and remakes. We are especially digging his upbeat cover of The Intruders' 1973 smash, "I'll Always Love My Momma." Producer Felton Pilate of ConFunkShun gives it a dance floor groove and he and Reggie bring it forward to 2020 in a way that we think SoulTrackers will love.

Reggie tells us, "I always loved the intruders as a kid growing up in the 70s. I would sing this song all the time! No one has covered this song, so I thought with everything going on in the world today this would be an excellent song to cover."
