Since 2017, New Jersey native Myrix has been able to concentrate more on his first love after years of juggling the industry with day jobs. All the songs on Blak Buttah Vol. 2 are geared towards a positive viewpoint. On the latest First Listen installment, the singer/songwriter duo, Ty Juan and Shawndella, join Myrix on “It’s a Vibe,” where the bass and beats and nineties vibe entice the listener for a let loose nineties party groove.
Fitting in with Blak Buttah Vol. 2’s positive theme, “It’s a Vibe” focuses on alleviating the weight of stress of daily living: “I'm in my element/I'm really loving it/Left all my worries/Cause they're all irrelevant.” This day and age, anything that resembles “It’s A Vibe” provides a much-needed detour.
