First Listen: Rob Murat takes us to “The End”

Eight years ago we introduced SoulTrackers to a great debut album by singer and songwriter Rob Murat. His edgy, funky sound and his clever lyrics made us instant fans, and we looked forward to hearing more from the new artist. And then…nothing. Other than a single he released in 2011, Rob has been principally busy with acting and some behind the scenes music stuff, and we didn't get that new music from him that we were hoping for – until now.

Rob is back with a new single, that opens with a sparse, ethereal keyboard that then opens up into a mild shuffler, as Rob’s familiar vocals move to the front. It’s a nice reintroduction to the talented Mr. Murat, and we’re looking forward to hearing music from him a bit more, ahem, regularly. Check out “The End” below and welcome back Rob Murat
