First Listen: Ronya-Lee asks "What Are You Waiting For?"

(March 2, 2023) Plenty of people can identify with the sentiments expressed in “Runaway (What Are You Waiting For),” the new single by Ronya-Lee & the Light Factory. “Runaway” is about two people breaking out of their stagnant situation by just up and leaving and ignoring all the factors screaming in your ear that that’s not the responsible thing to do.

Ronya-Lee takes an insistent tone as she states her melodic case. “Runway” sports a percussive and driving arrangement that serves at the base for her vocals that are conversational in one moment and then soar in the next.

Ronya-Lee can accurately be called a renaissance woman, and singing is just one item on her resume. She’s also a dancer, choreographer and performance artist who has works commissioned by Duke University and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, just to name a few.
