(February 22, 2022) A.J. Haynes, the lead singer of the Louisiana based band the Seratones, is someone who puts her body and beliefs on the line when she is not with the band making music that ranges from funk to folk and just about everything in between. Haynes devotes herself to working at a clinic in the state of Louisiana. It’s a challenging job even on the best days in a place where the stories that she hears from the clients make her work draining and rewarding.

Her work likely inspired “Good Day,” the Seratones new song from their album Love & Algorhythms, which is due to be released on April 29. The funky number finds Haynes reminding listeners that in a world were much is out of their control they need to find space to take care of and love on themselves. “Good Day” is boosted by an accompanying video where several people find themselves transported from their stressful and always tuned in world to a meadow far from the city and totally disconnected from the media, the internet and social media and the stress each can bring into their lives.

The Seratones release of “Good Day” and Love & Algorhythms comes at a time when the group is ready to join the reentry into this crazy world. The Seratones are preparing to go back on the road, with a stop at the SXSW festival in the offing an other stops throughout the spring and summer.
