The Pittsburgh native, who broke out with a string of hits in the late 80s and early 90s, was appreciated then and now by her peers for her multi-octave range and her immense talent as an interpreter of music, but she has never achieved the consistent public adoration that her talent warrants.
We've heard songs here and there over the last decade, but it has been thirteen years since her last album, Every Woman Dreams. Shanice has continued to stay in the public through her television work as well as occasional tours, but we 100% miss her as a recording artist. Fortunately, she has just given us another piece to groove on with her new single, "He Won't." The upbeat number mixes cool backing vocal arrangements and a persistent beat to support those always recognizable Shanice leads.
