When we last heard from this Miami, Florida native thru First Listen a few months back, Son of Pearl strolled down funk lane with “I Can’t Get Enough of You.”  The latest First Listen spotlight from his upcoming 2021 full-lengther, “Just Call My Name” (The State of Tenacity Records) is filled with a chilled-out atmosphere.  As always, Son of Pearl employs FlightBoy Music as co-producers.  The guitar embellishments by Carlos Brickhouse add a soothing texture to this hypnotic mid-tempo experience.  Occasionally the lyrics border on the overdramatic for this sensual storyline.  Yet overall, “Just Call My Name” finds Son of Pearl always remaining in his attractive artistic lane.  Check it out.
