(January 11, 2021) Boredom, barbed words, and belligerent tones that push us to the edge: in the best of times and the worst of times, relationships can splinter and break. Although it can be difficult to maintain our equilibrium, memories of what brought us together to begin with can be just enough to get us back in balance again, a which is what Stokley is focusing on in his latest single, "Cascade."

A head-nodding, synth-laden percussive bop with glib, parallel vocals by Stokley and Massachusetts-born R&B artist, The Bonfyre, "Cascade" offers the timeless sentiment of togetherness wrapped up in a throwback 80's vibe. While he's literally singing about "waterfalls of emotion" and "not letting love wash away," the performer, musician and songwriter recently told UrbanBridgez that the lyrics could describe any union: "It's about getting back to that sweet spot in a love relationship when you lost it, [figuring out] where we went off-track and letting love flow."

And as we navigate through a turbulent and chaotic world, it's good to realize that one, fresh music is on the way from the Sonic Soul Man and two, our connections to those closest to us can once again have the depth, appeal and fluidity of a "Cascade."
