First Listen: Philly royalty combines as Jean Carne sings with The Blue Notes

(July 20, 2021) When you combine members of musical royalty, great stuff can happen. And that’s the case with the pairing of two Philly soul legends, the great Jean Carne and The Legendary Blue Notes. The two acts have countless hits apart, and on the new Society Hill release, they come together nicely.

The Gamble & Huff composition “You Know How To Make Me Feel So Good” was a Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes gem back in 1975, and now the song gets a second life with these two legendary acts performing together with a new arrangement of the song by Philly Soul Butch Ingram, and the backing of the Ingram Family band and saxophone player Done (Juan) Ward.

“You Know How” sounds just fantastic in its new form, with a soulful vibe and strong vocal performances all around. Check it out below and welcome all these longtime favorites back to SoulTracks.
