(October 14, 2021) When it comes to the hearts of soul music lovers, there aren't many acts who have a place more special than The Whispers. And their millions of fans are rejoicing today now that the "And The Beat Goes On" group has issued a new single – the second from a planned upcoming album.

"It’s Been Too Long" was written by Derrick E. Pearson and was originally recorded by the late, great Al Johnson. But with producer Magic Mendez on hand, the Whispers give it their own unique, 2021 spin.

The alternating lead vocals of Walter and Scotty Scott combined with harmonies from Leaveil Degree give this midtempo gem a classic Whispers sound, and the single is sure to please longtime fans.
