(July 3, 2017) Winston Churchhill once famously said that having haters was a good thing....more or less; "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something sometime in your life." And thanks to the prevalence of social media, being confronted with hateration can become a regular annoyance, a fact that TLC expounds on in the upbeat power mantra called----what else?----"Haters."

Combining elements of their late 90's hit "Unpretty" and shades of Taylor Swift's inescapable "Shake It Off," Chilli and T-Boz's message is a simple one: you can't please all of the people all of the time, so go 'head and do you, Boo. "If you're looking good, then you must be dumb/if you ain't got money, then you're not someone. And then you're too young to matter or you're way too old/Public opinion is so hot and cold."

Thanks to a fun, diversity-filled video and peppy delivery, "Haters" is saved from being preachy and could likely inspire many self-empowerment ad campaigns not unlike its predecessors. So when friends or foes haves something salty to say about your romper, your sundress or that new tattoo on your arm, TLC wants you to smile, crank up their new joint and sing along. Because after all, "haters gonna ha-yate."
