So when we heard that Will signed with Shanachie Entertainment and was working on a new album, we took notice big time. Will had told us that he was working on an album where he would cover songs that had originally been made popular by female singers, and that highly anticipated album will be arriving July 9 in the form of Black Pearls.

Will says: “Phyllis Hyman started this whole project. I was having a conversation with a friend who also worked with Phyllis. We both agreed that 'Meet Me On The Moon' was our favorite Phyllis tune. My friend suggested I remake it. I called my keyboardist/arranger Mike Logan to help with the song. After completing it, I thought maybe this is a great opportunity to pay tribute to other female artists that I have always loved. That’s how Black Pearls was born!"
So we were ready for something special when the package arrived on our doorstep today. And special is a good word for Will's take on the Cherrelle classic, "Everything I Miss at Home." It is a tasty midtempo from the Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis catalog that Will makes his own. We're feeling this sweet late evening music and we think his fans will too.
