This song was written by Raymond Barton, who was influenced to write this song after hearing "Until You Come Back To Me," written by Stevie Wonder and Morris Broadnax. This influence is further made evident by Parker's sopranic refrain of "knocking on your door," a pivotal line from the aforementioned Soul standard. The difference in this song is the sheer joy felt in Parker's vocal performance.
