(August 11, 2019) Detroit native songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Zo! has been a part of the SoulTracks family for a long time, and we've watched him continue to ascend as an artist – both solo and as a member of The Foreign Exchange.

His albums have all been events, and the same goes for his brand new release, Fourfront. With a bevy of guest vocalists such as Stokley, Eric Roberson, Sy Smith, Deborah Bond and Madison McFerrin, the new disc is yet another tasty addition to Zo!’s enviable catalog.

And among all those gems from which to choose, for our latest SoulTracks First Listen, we’re going to focus on the disc’s danceable leadoff song, a collaboration with longtime SoulTracks fave Carmen Rodgers, who has also been touring with Zo! this Summer.

“On The Four” has a pervasive beat underneath the keyboard-led number, and Carmen provides a cool, understated vocal that works just right with the production. We just love this song…and just about everything else on Fourfront. So check it out this First Listen below and then also check out the full album, which we’ve embedded below. Welcome back, Zo!
