We’ve just been introduced to Léla Sophia, a Manhattan based singer who has just released her debut EP, Introspection.  As a student of the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, she runs alongside some ST faves like Robert Glasper, Jesse Boykins III, Chris Turner, Erimaj, and James Tillman.  And she stands out in that crowd with signature layers of black clothing to the jewelry always adorning her fingers and neck

Léla is first hitting us with a languid ballad that she describes as "a song about realizing that things in life won't always be easy, but it's often to bumps in the road that lead us to where we are truly meant to be." It's the song "Magic House," and it is our newest SoulTracks First Look.
