August 1, 2017 – CaronSugaray” Rayford began singing and playing drums at age 7 at his local Pentecostal church in Tyler, Texas and has never looked back.  He switched from gospel to contemporary blues and R&B music approximately 15 years ago and has released 3 albums as a solo artist. A gentle mountain of a man with an infectious grin, Sugaray delivers his music with utter authenticity and a feral, albeit soulful, growl that brings to mind the great Howlin’ Wolf.

We feature here Sugaray’s latest single, “Take Me Back,” from his new album The World That We Live In set for release in September. It’s an electric guitar and organ-propelled blues romp that ignites like a roman candle and never burns out.  Enjoy.
