"Highly anticipated" is just one of the thoughts that come to mind when you think of Lando's music you can use sophisticated, smooth, and heart felt.  Raised on Detroit's West Side Lando,  born Orlando R. Joiner, who started singing at the young age of 5 was never certain he wanted to pursue a career in music; which came as a surprise to most because he often sang in church.  "I've always loved music but singing was another thing", Lando says when asked how his career got started. Lando was always good with numbers so he decided to go to school and become an accountant.  "I couldn't think of anything else to do being as though I was so good with numbers," he says humbly about himself.

Graduating from Frank Cody Senior High which is known for spawning talents like Dwele, members of Slum Village, and Nicci Gilbert of Brownstone; Lando's future presented otherwise.  While a student at Cody, Lando performed in statewide classical vocal competitions as a member of one of the school's prestigious performance choirs.  If that wasn't enough before he could even make it to his new hometown Atlanta to attend Morris Brown College , Lando had already begun writing and performing with other artists and musicians within the Detroit music scene.

Amongst other newcomers in the business Lando had the chance to sing background vocals with Raphael Saadiq, Kenny Lattimore, Chante Moore, and Joe just to name a few.  This experience was great and opened the door for him to sign a deal with Atlantic Records. Though he was later dropped from the label it never stopped Lando from making music.  This in fact, urged him to push forward developing his own musical style; which he credits to his parents for their vast array of musical interests.

If you've ever had the chance to experience Lando's vocal style; then you know you're in for a treat.  With a delivery that is not only distinct but also captivating, Lando is known to effortlessly stretch his elastic tenor tone way beyond the limits of many.  Gaining recognition for his strong vocal talent, insightful lyrics, and bold performances; Lando has the making of greatness and will continue to shower his fans with great music.
