Listening Room: Eric Roberson blows in with "Wind"

He’s been dubbed the “King of Indie Soul” for good reason. For the better part of two decades, Eric Roberson has defined all that is good about the independent soul music movement. Through ten albums that have tracked the progression of R&B music, but with the constant elements of thoughtful lyrics and memorable songs, “Erro” has established for himself a fiercely loyal audience and the admiration of his peers.

Erro announced earlier this year that he would be returning with Earth, Wind & Fire, an ambitious trilogy of EPs. It began in the Spring with Earth, which won us over big time. And now, the second piece of the trilogyWind, has arrived! The idea to release three albums in one year began during the creative process in the recording studio. “I was writing songs that didn’t feel like they belonged together. One song would be about empowerment and another about love,” says Roberson. The trilogy EP was then birthed. “Earth is self-empowering, Wind is the love and Fire is the message.”

Indeed, Wind deals with the ups and downs of love, and features the out of the box hit “Love Her” and seven other gems that SoulTrackers are going to completely dig.

We are extremely proud to present Wind as our newest SoulTracks Listening Room. Check it out below and then then make sure to get your own copy. Welcome back Eric Roberson!
