Originally formed in the early 1960s as The Sinceres, the talented band consisting of members Charles Love (guitar and vocals), Melvin Webb (drums), Roger Durham (percussion), Charles McCormack (bass), Harry Williams (percussion), and Willis Draffen (guitar) changed their name to Bloodstone, and became one of the leading funk-rock groups in the 1970s.

Their “Natural High” shot to the top of the charts and became the group’s signature song. But it was the group’s “comeback” song in the early 80s that gave them our latest SoulTracks Look Back song. “We Go A Long Way Back” was a fantastic ballad that not only told the story of the longstanding group, but also worked to describe a lot of personal relationships for their fans.
