The Full Force-produced “Try Me” hit the R&B top 20, but it was another song from the album, a ballad with James Ingram, that has stood the test of time as the album’s most popular cut. “Just Want To Hold You” (written by Cal Harris Jr., Melanie Andrews, and Tony Andrews) is a smooth nighttime cut that was perfect for the emerging Quiet Storm genre, and vocal interplay between Guy and Ingram worked nicely.
