SoulTracks Lost Gem: Process and The Doo Rags heard "The Bells" with Rick James

Process and The Doo Rags were Rick James' background vocalists. Group members,  James Hawkins, Stacy Lattimore, Henry Graham, Dennis Andrews, and Michael Gibson had a sound in a similar vain to the Force MD's. The project was produced by Rick James in 1985.

The album has now been reissued for download for the first time, and many music fans no doubt  missed it when it was first released.  Listening to this you sure can hear  how much we miss the late Rick James sound, with Rick's slick  production & vocal harmonies.  The album features some tasty soul covers in a doo wop style such as "Thin Line Between Love and Hate," and "The Bells." The Funk is also present on "Stomp & Shout," "Serious Freak" and "Come Into My Life."  This sounds like it could have been an 80's floorfiller with memories of a classic Rick James jam once again.
