A native of the Southside of Chicago, Melody Angel first discovered her love for music at the age of 7. As a child, she was mostly inspired by Michael Jackson and Slash in the "Dirty Diana' video and then by Prince in "Purple Rain." After watching the movie, Melody decided that she wanted to be as free as they were while performing on stage. Since then, music has always been a major aspect of her life. In addition to being a talented vocalist, Melody is also a musician who plays the guitar, drums, bass and piano. She is a huge fan of rock music as she gets most of her inspiration from the likes of Michael Jackson. Melody admires him most because he was the type of person who was always true to himself regardless of what others thought. She sees Michael Jackson as one of her biggest career influences in addition to Prince and Jimi Hendrix. Melody Angel finds her inspiration to write music based on her own life experiences. In addition to her love for music, Melody has a love for skateboarding. She began the sport at the age of 15 and enjoys flying down big hills in her spare time. She also likes to play other sports like tennis and basketball. Melody is a very athletic young lady with undeniable musical talents. She is also very passionate about dedicating her time as a youth advocate. Melody is a supporter or many causes and is also looking to find ways to give back to underserved communities. Most people may remember Melody Angel from her stint on MTV's show P. Diddy's Starmaker or from her many YouTube videos, but Melody Angel is ready to expand her horizons and become a household name. She is currently working on her long anticipated self-titled debut album.
