"Mahogany" remake in the works

     EURWeb has reported today that longtime Motown executvie and movie producer Suzanne de Passe ("Lonesome Dove," "The Temptations") is planning to produce a remake of the 1975 film, Mahogany, which helped launch the acting career of Diana Ross. The original Mahogany was a key part of Berry Gordy, Jr's plan to expand Motown from a Detroit record company into an entertainment conglomerate, a plan which was only partially realized after Gordy's relocation of the company to California.
