Despite the increased role of Steve and D'adra Crawford on Now Is The Time, it is a fairly typical Anointed album.  Working largely with producer Warryn Campbell (Mary Mary), Anointed has created another slick, pop/soul/gospel amalgamation that features their sterling vocals throughout.  And the mostly self-penned songs by the duo are generally melodic, if not very adventurous.  A number of cuts, including the uptempo "Gotta Move" and "Trust In You" and the mildly bluesy ballad, "Now That I'm Free," work well, making Now Is the Time pleasant, very listenable album.  However, I had hoped that the Steve and Da'dra's increased personal focus on the new disc would result in a fresh sound, and that is not the case here.  For fans of the crisp, bright pop sound of Anointed's previous albums, Now Is The Time goes down easily and will be a welcome addition to their discography.  For Gospel lovers looking for a raw
