The Atlanta music scene seems to have an unlimited number of talented musical acts, and Jiva is one of my new favorites.  Sometimes labeled as modern counterparts to Brazil 66 because of their tendency toward Brazilian and Bossa beats or the Fifth Dimension due to their smooth vocal arrangements, Jiva is an extremely talented quintet that is comfortable covering a impressive breadth of sounds ranging from soul to Brazilian jazz to light dance (their bouncy "I Realized" is a gem).  And with the sweet vocals of Rhonda Thomas and Alex Lattimore fronting an engaging collection of tunes, Sun and Moon is airy fun from front to back.  One of my favorite surprises of '06.  Highly recommended.
