Las Vegas, NV - Soul legend Ronnie McNeir returns to the scene with his much-talked about solo effort, "Ronnie Mac & Company."  The 14-song album defies clichés and confirms McNeir's status as one of the most innovative musicians of his era.  The album will be available through several Internet outlets, most notably http://www.ronniemcneir.com/.  Hard copies of "Ronnie Mac & Company" will be available at http://www.cdbaby.com/ and in select record stores in Detroit in the near future.

Ronnie's latest collection provides a flow of smooth, soulful and jazzy tunes that highlight his multiple talents as a songwriter, producer, keyboardist and vocalist.  The album has been well-received and is in heavy rotation in the UK.

All of the songs on Ronnie Mac & Company are stamped with McNeir's signature in-the-pocket groove that is funky and soothing at the same time.  As the album title suggests, "Ronnie Mac" enlists the help of some of his most talented colleagues including Las Vegas chanteuse Kathy Lamar, whose smoky and evocative voice can be heard on the devotional "Ain't It Good To Know You've Got A Friend."

McNeir, who also sings tenor for the Four Tops, shares a cowriting credit with the group's current lead singer, Theo Peoples on "I Really Need Your Help Father (My Personal Testimony)."  Peoples also lends his dynamic vocals to the gospel-infused track.

The infectious, jazzy flavor of "I'm In The Mood" is highlighted by the distinctive saxophone work of Kirk Whalum.  McNeir showcases his own jazz chops on the superb instrumental, "Song For My Brothers."  "It's A Shame People Have To Live This Way" offers Ronnie's honest and heartfelt commentary on the state of the world.

This latest album represents some of Ronnie's most personal material to date.  A highlight of the set is the bonus track, "Angel In My Life," a spoken word tribute to his best friend, the late Renaldo "Obie" Benson.  Benson was an original member of the Four Tops and was instrumental in securing McNeir's position in the group.

Ronnie Mac & Company is sure to become a contemporary soul classic and yet another addition to McNeir's impressive musical resume.
