Responding to loads of requests to take ONUTSS (One Nation Under The Soul Shack) on the road, co-founders Detrel Howell & Pamela Nichols have partnered with the Southern Black Professionals Singles Network (meetup.com) to bring soul to New Haven, Connecticut.  On Friday, March 28th the ONUTSS ladies in conjunction with the Southern Connecticut Professional Singles Network will present two of Connecticut's finest music makers -- Lamone and Brown Baby Girl at Cafenine in the downtown area of New Haven.  Both artists have previously been featured at past ONUTSS listening parties and are residents of Connecticut.  Lamone has toured the world extensively with jazzman, Najee and Brown Baby Girl (Lorenda Robinson, Jamie Finegan) is one of the hardest working bands on the independent music scene.

About  One Nation Under The Soul Shack:

One Nation Under The Soul Shack (ONUTSS) founded in 2006 by Detrel Howell and Pamela Nichols, both who were and continue to be extensive supporters of independent music, and desired to create opportunities for others who enjoy and produce music that typically is not found on mainstream radio stations.  By hosting listening parties around the New York City vicinity, ONUTSS has become a global brand recognized by many in the music industry.  They have featured musicians from the most well-known and respected in the indie world to the least known and have helped those artists to develop additional support from fans and promoters alike.  Some of the featured artists have included Choklate, Karen Bernod (Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu), Eric Roberson, Maya Azucena, Elisabeth Withers (The Color Purple), Gordon Chambers, Angela Johnson, PJ Morton, Antonia Jenae (Joss Stone), Jeremiah, Mike Hammond, Melissa Young and many others.
