Renee Spearman

    Renee Spearman is a talented gospel singer, songwriter and producer who has become one of the bright stars of Gospel in the past decade. As a child in California, Spearman was raised in a religious household in Lynwood, California. Here father, Ernest Spearman, was a church pastor and she sang in the church choir.

    Spearman’s talent brought her to the attention of several artists, and over the first few years of the 2000s she worked on several albums by notable performers such as Gladys Knight, Yolanda Adams, Beverly Crawford, Dr. Bobby Jones and guitarist Paul Jackson, Jr.

    Spearman also stepped forward as a solo artist, and her 2008 her album He Changed Me became a hit and was nominated for a Stellar Award.

    In 2012, Spearman released the highly acclaimed Whoa to Wow, which won several year end critical awards. The title track, which also featured legendary singer DJ Rogers, became a major Gospel hit. It was followed in 2013 by the single “Great God.”
