(June 17, 2021) One of the big things we missed during 2020 was the best outdoor soul music concert around, the Capital Jazz Fest. But we’re VERY happy to report that the Capital Jazz Fest is back -- returning to Merriweather Post Pavilion on Labor Day Weekend!

For this “special edition” of the festival, they’ll be combining two stages into one big stage, with “Jazzy Saturday” on September 4 and “Soulful Sunday” on September 5. Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 19 at 10am ET at ticketmaster.com.

Each year since 1993, tens of thousands of music lovers from throughout the country flock to the suburbs of Washington D.C. for “the jazz festival with soul.” The multi-day, multi-stage outdoor music festival is a place to people-watch, eat, drink, shop, mingle, relax, soak in the rays, make new friends, and of course hear some of the coolest jazz and soul music on the planet!

This year's Fest includes a power-packed lineup of SoulTracks favorites, including Lalah Hathaway, Will Downing, Eric Benét, Sheila E, Eric Roberson, Tamia, Stokley, Marcus Miller, Shanice, Chanté Moore, Avery*Sunshine, Jarrod Lawson and more, including a festival-ending appearance by Bell Biv DeVoe! The Fest will also include a special tribute to the late, great Bill Withers, with several surprise musical guests.

In between musical sets, attendees enjoy fine art and crafts at the Festival Marketplace, culinary treats at the food court, and meet & greet the artists. This is a weekend you won't want to miss.
