In a six-song set that features Daryl Hall and John Oates’ “Rich Girl” and Daryl’s “Send Me” from his 1993 solo album Soul Alone, the show’s namesake joins The Dirty Heads for four songs, including their 2008 hit, “Lay Me Down,” from their debut album, Any Port in a Storm, a song that spent 11 weeks atop the Billboard Alternative chart, racking up 250k total spins. Daryl, Jared and Dustin also perform “Spread Too Thin,” the first single from the band’s upcoming album, Cabin by the Sea, which has already been added to influential L.A. station KROQ, as well as the title track.
Jared raved: “It was an honor and an amazing time playing music and hanging out with musicians of that caliber. I would do it again in a heartbeat.”
Added Duddy: “It was an incredible experience, just to get the chance to jam with Daryl and his band was an honor.”

The Huntington Beach, CA , band combine reggae, ska, alternative rock and a dash of hip-hop with a sunny SoCal swagger. The band’s debut album, Any Port in a Storm, proved a surprise hit, with songs like “Lay Me Down,” which dominated the Billboard Alternative chart and was certified gold. Rolling Stone called them “one of the year’s best new bands of 2010.” Their sophomore album, Cabin by the Sea, comes out June 19. Produced by Mario C, was recorded at Sonic Ranch Studios in Texas and features collaborations with Matisyahu, Del the Funky Homosapien , Ky-Mani Marley and Rome . The past five years have marked a steady stream of superlatives and recognition for Live from Daryl’s House, with Hall receiving a Webby Award for Best Variety series from more than 10,000 entries at the 14th annual ceremony three years ago at N.Y.’s Cipriani Wall Street before garnering an O Music Award from MTV last year.
Live from Daryl’s House is syndicated nationally by Good Cop Bad Cop Productions. Executive producers for the show include Hall, Scott Sternberg and Hall’s manager Jonathan Wolfson.
Live from Daryl’s House is being shown weekly in over 80% of U.S. homes in the nation’s top 200 media markets, as well as all of the top 10, including New York (WPIX), L.A. (KTLA), Chicago (WGN), Dallas (KDAF) and Houston (KIAH). The show has also cleared in such key markets as Philadelphia (CBS-owned KYW), Boston (KBIN) and Atlanta (WATL), as well as a number of NBC, Fox and CBS-owned affiliates across the country. Most stations are airing a full hour with two original shows back to back on Saturday nights. The first week of the show did a .2 in national Nielsens, with the second week increasing 50% and several stations adding airings.
