Donnie McClurkinLOS ANGELES, Jan.  19, 2010 - Platinum-selling, multiple-award winner Donnie McClurkin has his sights set on one of his most eventful winter calendars yet as he prepares to hit the red carpet at a number of award shows and take part in a series of television shows, all-star events and a high-profile fundraiser.

McClurkin  recently kicked off  the award season on Jan. 15 as an honoree at the 11th Annual Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards Luncheon, where he and gospel legend Andraé Crouch  were celebrated for their accomplishments in music at an exclusive, invitation-only event to take place at Rocketown in Nashville, Tenn.  The honoree segments featured guest such as:  Marvin Winans, Byron Cage, Yolanda Adams, Donald Lawrence, Tata Vega and many others.

The following day on Jan. 16, McClurkin joined  fellow gospel greats Kirk Franklin and Vickie Winans to co-host the 25th Annual Stellar Awards, where he walked away with another win for Traditional Male Vocalist of the Year category for his top-selling album, We All Are One (Live in Detroit).   McClurkin graciously presented the award to gospel artist and label mate, Karen Clarke Sheard, who was featured on the hit single, "Wait On The Lord" for her selfless contributions to the landmark recording.   (Check your local listings for air dates)

Award season continues on Jan. 31 for the two-time GRAMMY® winner as he heads down to the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the 52nd Annual GRAMMY® Awards, where he is nominated in the Best Gospel Performance category for his rousing hit "Wait on the Lord,"  a duet with Karen Clark-Sheard; this is McClurkin's fourth nomination overall.

The Gospel Heritage Praise & Worship Conference heads to  Jacksonville, FL. February 18-19 at Bethel Baptist Church, where McClurkin is on board to make an appearance on the 19th.

On Feb. 26, during a live airing on the FOX network, McClurkin will vie for his second NAACP Image Award win in the Outstanding Gospel Artist category, which he previously snagged in 2004.

Switching gears, McClurkin alongside colleague Yolanda Adams have been selected to be a part of the celebrity panel of judges for the next edition of BET's hit talent search show, Sunday Best, joining original judges Mary Mary and host Kirk Franklin, all of whom are returning for their third season. The show premieres April 4.

Rounding out his appearances, McClurkin has been tapped to perform at the NFL Super Bowl Gospel Celebration in Miami on Feb. 5 and at the NBA All-Star Gospel Brunch in Dallas on Feb. 19.

On the humanitarian front, McClurkin is set to raise funds for the Haitian Earthquake Relief Campaign and  honor a number of international relief organizations at a gala celebration to be held Jan. 25 at the historic Oheka Castle located at 135 West Gate Drive in Huntington in Long Island, New York. The black-tie dinner will be co-hosted by BeBe Winans and The View's Sherri Shepherd, and will feature musical performances and appearances by Kim Burrell, BeBe & CeCe Winans, and the legendary Walter Hawkins.

"As I look back on my life and celebrate 50 wonderful years, my hope is to continue to make a lasting impact on people in need," said McClurkin. "I am honored to be a part of these organizations' efforts."
