Eric Roberson to be honored in Philly show

    erroPHILADELPHIA - The Artists United (AU) in conjunction with Lyn Brown Music Group, Philash Entertainment Group, and R&B Dude Entertainment present "A Tribute to Eric Roberson."  This monumental night of music will be held on March 28, 2011 at Warmdaddy's Restaurant located at 1400 S. Columbus Boulevard in Philadelphia. The show begins at 8 p.m. (ET). During that magical evening, Roberson will be presented with "The Rising Star" award by AU for his success in the entertainment industry as an independent artist. His remarkable achievements include establishing his own independent record label, Blue Erro Soul (B.E.S) and being the first independent artist to be nominated for a BET Award. 

    Philadelphia's greatest established and up and coming recording artists such as Vivian GreenCarol RiddickCurt ChambersStephen MichaelAshley ScottJeff MurrellBarbara ShereeJ. LawrenceLaurin TaleseDevin MartinLaTasha Morris, and Ron Draper will take part in the musical tribute to Soul/R&B crooner Eric Roberson. These singers will cover songs from Roberson's catalog spanning seven albums as well as songs he co-wrote for artists such as Vivian Green and Musiq Soulchild.  

    About Eric Roberson Eric Roberson is a New Jersey native and graduate of Howard University. Roberson was introduced to the national music world in 1994 with his debut single "The Moon" released on Warner Bros. Records. In 2001, he established his own independent record label Blue Erro Soul (B.E.S.). Keeping up with the current demand for more "honest music", Roberson has released seven albums under his label: EsotericThe Vault 1.0The Vault Vol. 1.5The AppetizerErro Live: Vol. DCLeft, and Music Fan First; all of which bring smiles to the faces of his legion of fans. A two-time Grammy nominated artist, Roberson is expected to release an eight album this summer. Roberson has worked alongside, as well as written for many mainstream producers and artists including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Osulande, Jill Scott, Musiq, Carl Thomas, Vivian Green, Charlie Wilson, Will Downing, and Will Smith.
